Dear Citizens of JellyRO,

As we are trying to move forward and make improvements to the server, the written assaults on our staff and players continue.

It is difficult to overcome the urge to defend ourselves against what is being said about us, but at this point, I believe that not responding to it is the best course of action.

Please do not leave negative reviews for other servers unless you have actually spent enough time playing there and feel that such a review is truly deserved.

I know you may feel angry, but this is not the way. Do not trash talk other servers, even if they have been trash talking us. Do not harass any players who left our server.

Don’t try to pick a fight with them, and if they try to start something with you, I recommend not taking the bait.

However, if you are being personally harassed as a result of any of this, I encourage you to report it to us or the moderators of whatever website it’s happening on.

It is my hope that things will settle down, but that’s not going to happen until both sides decide that they have better things to do than keep taking shots at each other.

Let’s do our part to give peace a chance.

Summer Dreams

It’s been a weird summer this year, with our big 15th Anniversary event followed by cancelling WoE.

It may seem like a downer, but there is still plenty of fun stuff to do before the summer comes to an end.

The volleyball court is still open so bring your A game and win some summery prizes. If you still have some summer suits, find some excuse to use them while you can, because they will be removed as usual.

Also, if you have been saving your Auro for Summer Packs and Crates, make sure you get them soon before they disappear from the Auro Shop.

Event content will disappear on September 6, 2020!

A Word from Kathis

If you been following the Discord chat, you may be aware that a new server has started up.

To be very clear, that server is not affiliated with JellyRO. There have also been a lot of negative reviews on RateMyServer.net that we are catching up with and replying to as time allows.

In light of recent events, I think is especially important to clear up one complaint that has appeared in multiple reviews…

“GMs are corrupt and rude they hate players.”

Let me reiterate something Finnian wrote in a previous announcement: “Keep in mind that the staff are, in fact, only human.”

We have policies designed to counteract corruption, and our admin team (myself and Finnian) have virtually equal power so that neither of us would be able to get away with anything truly corrupt. As for rudeness, all staff members are expected to be professional at all times.

Dealing with complaints and criticism can be stressful, but we are trying our best.

Finally, and I cannot stress this enough, I do not hate players. What I do dislike are people that intentionally break the rules, and harass other players, my staff, and myself. That being said, if a staff member is being unprofessional in any way, even if it’s me, please report it.

Both Finnian and I have access to support tickets, so whatever the issue may be, the appropriate staff member will be able to deal with it.

Another concern brought up on RMS is that we don’t use Gepard Shield to prevent cheating.

We have used this $200 USD add-on in the past, but we had to remove it in 2017 when many players upgraded to Windows 10 and JellyRO would not even launch.

Removing Gepard solved the immediate issue, and we thought that we would be able to get by with the built-in protection on the server end, but now we are taking a look at the newest version (Gepard Shield 3.0) released in 2018. We will keep you updated regarding our decision.

Lastly, I want to mention that some older reviews on RMS talk about us deleting reviews, but that is not possible. A review can only be removed by an RMS admin if it violates the ToS.

RateMyServer.net shows reviews from the past 6 months by default, but you can see more reviews by selecting 12 months or All Times from Review Stat Range.

There are a number of older reviews that have low scores and they are still there like all the others.

• Auro Shop and Jellybean exchanger have been updated.
• Jellyblob was updated to reflect change in Auro Shop costumes.
• Watermelon quest was bugged, and now fixed. It was looking for the wrong monsters.
• Balpho horn’s quest logic was a bugged, this was fixed.
• A typo in the Aika’s Recipe quest has been fixed.
• Hats of summer, the record keeper, wasn’t properly setting up Wave 11, this has been fixed.
• AFK hat quest wasn’t working, this has been fixed to not only tell you how long you been waiting, but once the timer is up it will automatically give you the hat, if this fails, talking to the NPC will also give you the hat.
• In response to a suggestion to increase the share level range, we decided to increase it from 15 to 30. If it seems to have the intended benefits, we’ll keep it, but if it’s too much, it may be decreased slightly.
• The @autotrade command wasn’t logging properly due to an error in logic, this has been remedied.
• The @join command will no longer be logged in the logs.

A reminder that GMs will NEVER talk to you in game with a normal character. We all have GM uniforms. We also will NEVER ask you to go to Skype. Our chat medium is Discord, You can clearly see our official accounts in the JellyRO Discord with our names nice and colorful and under the @staff heading.

GMs will also NEVER make chatrooms with normal characters to talk about official GM business. If you see someone talking in a chatroom, that isn’t actually in that chatroom, report it immediately.

It is a common thing that scammers do.

Never give them your account information and report them immediately. If they are official staff they will be able to see @requests in game. If they cannot see that, they’re not a GM. If this happens again in the future, anyone leading to the finding of this person will be rewarded. Take a screenshot(s) in game OR on Skype or wherever they lead you.

Contact a known staff member on Discord, through forums, a post, or @request ASAP. If one doesn’t answer quick enough try another medium and we’ll get right on it. Also, please please please be a kind Jelly by helping us to remind/spread the news to your friends or other players regarding this.
